The family map: master this basic tool of systemic therapy
The family map is a very popular tool among practitioners versed in the systemic approach, useful in therapy as much as in teamwork.
It is an excellent tool for the social phase of the interview. You still need to know how to take hold of it, and three questions arise straight away:
- How to use it?
- In what context?
- How does the family map differ from the genogram, a tool it is often confused with?
