A few months ago, I discovered a book that literally changed the way I see the world of work and picture my professional future: Show Your Work!, by Austin Kleon.
In a resolutely captivating tone, Austin Kleon presents creative work as a process about which it is essential to communicate — he even presents it as the only process worth communicating about. He tackles various themes: what to share, and when? On which media? How to talk about your work and other people’s? How to build an audience and face it without inhibition? It is the perfect book for those who — like me — do not like selling themselves and loathe self-promotion.
Reading this book contributed greatly to my taking the plunge: daring to launch my YouTube channel alongside this site, in the continuity of the adventure recounted at my beginnings.
