I dove back into rereading this book thanks to a subscriber of the channel, who had suggested I devote a video to its concepts. I must confess that I took great pleasure in rereading this great man, who sadly left us a few months earlier. The family-therapy community was in mourning, but the legacy is colossal. In this book as in the others, Mony Elkaïm touches us with his humanity, his kindness radiating through his writing, and his creative genius beyond compare.

This book is very rich in theoretical concepts, each more interesting than the last. Whether it is therapeutic reframing, the reciprocal double bind, or the notions of construction of the world and official programme, each concept is illustrated with concrete examples and associated therapeutic situations.

All of Mony Elkaïm’s wisdom spreads as the pages turn, and I cannot resist sharing with you a quotation from the book, of a humility as great as the intelligence that underpins it.
