Books and advice to succeed in your psychology degree

Here we are, the new academic year has begun, after such a peculiar summer. If the Coronavirus crisis taught us anything, it is that our society rests on certain essential professions, including healthcare workers: nursing assistants, nurses, doctors, but also psychiatrists, psychologists and therapists of all kinds.

While we cannot be sure we will still need certain professions in the future, there is one thing no artificial intelligence will ever do better than we do: psychotherapy, the care of the mind.

If you follow this idea, embarking on psychology studies offers you — beyond the value of what you will learn for your own life — the near-certainty of joining a field with a future. If that is your case and you are starting a psychology degree, I recommend a few books that will help you get through the first stage, the bachelor’s degree, but that will also accompany you throughout your studies.

My selection, along with my personal advice, is to be discovered directly in the video below — in French.
