Therapist confidences · Interview
I have the immense honour of welcoming Jacques Pluymaekers, Belgian psychologist and family therapist: a pioneer, an initiator, a magician in the creation of networks and in promoting the systemic approach in Europe.
In the wake of the anti-psychiatry movement and after creating, in 1975, the network "Alternative à la psychiatrie", he set up in the 1980s training programmes in the systemic approach and family therapy, at the Réseau et Famille association in Montpellier (France) as well as at the Institut provincial de formation sociale in Namur (Belgium).
A founding member of EFTA in 1990, he is still its honorary president.
