Meeting Jean Van Hemelrijck
In this continual quest to understand the complexities of the human mind and of relational dynamics, I had the immense pleasure of talking with Jean Van Hemelrijck, psychologist, systemic psychotherapist and specialist in couple and family therapy, who offers us a deep insight into his approach to psychotherapy.
With a career that began in various fields of psychiatry, Jean Van Hemelrijck has developed a particular expertise in dealing with the complex dynamics at work within couples and families. His book, “La Malséparation”, is a particularly relevant work, one that greatly interested me when I discovered it.
As a trainer in family and systemic therapy, Jean Van Hemelrijck is a leading figure in the teaching of these approaches. His commitment also shows in his role as a lecturer at the Université libre de Bruxelles.
This interview is more than a simple conversation: it is a journey into the mind of a psychologist and psychotherapist as wise as he is impertinent.
