The extraordinary power of empathy

What is empathy? This capacity with extraordinary power is the most precious ally of all therapists, all social workers, all those whose work is grounded in the relationship. More broadly, it is indispensable in each and every one of our lives.

Two questions deserve a closer look:

  • How does its full potential develop?
  • How is empathy different from other phenomena, such as emotional contagion?
